Indulge in a variety of tastings at the finest locations on Waiheke Island, and enjoy a generous platter lunch at an iconic vineyard!
Start your adventure at the beautiful Mudbrick Vineyard, where you can enjoy cellar door tastings and soak in stunning views. Next, we're headed to the Heke Brewery, where you can pick your favourite: craft beer, world-renowned Waiheke Whisky tasting, or a fun 'spirits tasting' session! Then, let's unwind at the fabulous Batch Winery, where a glass of wine and delightful platters will be served whilst taking in the breathtaking 360-degree views of Auckland. Lastly, our final stop is to taste incredible Olive Oil at Allpress Olives. Join us for a 5-hour tour, operating daily from 9:40 AM to 2:40 PM. The cost is $ 360 per person, which includes all tastings with platters.
Our delightful journey begins at Mudbrick, one of Waiheke Island’s most iconic spots, where panoramic views of the Hauraki Gulf await us. At their rustic cellar door, you will indulge in a wine tasting that introduces you to the varietals grown on Waiheke Island.
Afterwards, we’ll make our way to Onetangi, where we’ll step into The Heke, a charming Waiheke craft distillery and brewery. The Heke is nestled within four acres of beautiful gardens, providing a serene setting. You will have the opportunity to choose between the Boiler Maker tastings, which include whisky and beer, or the Spirits tasting, which features vodka and Gin, or just Craft Beer.
Making our way up to the highest point on the island and into The Batch Winery, which boasts 360-degree views over all of the Hauraki gulf, out to Little Barrier, Whangaparoa and a glimpse of the Coromandel, for a glass of wine and an incredible platter lunch.
Our journey will take you from Stonyridge to Oneroa, where you will visit the renowned All Press Olive Groves. Waiheke Island is renowned for its distinctive microclimate, which enables the production of high-quality extra-virgin olive oil. During your visit, you'll have the opportunity to taste a variety of locally handcrafted extra virgin olive oils, each with its own distinctive flavour and aroma. You'll also learn about the processes involved in growing, harvesting, and milling olives.
After your tour, your Waiheke Wine Tours guide will take you to the Matiatia ferry terminal, where you can catch the 4.15pm Island Direct ferry back to Auckland. Alternatively, you can choose to hop off at Oneroa village and spend some more time on the island, enjoying an early dinner or having some drinks before catching a later ferry.
